Depression can affect us in many forms or ways. I needed to understand more of this as well.
"Holding ourselves to standards our mothers never had to meet"....
Society's expectations of people are for mothers to always be remaining sane, capable of raising children without losing your wits end, and pulling out strands of hair..
Heather Armstrong is a wonderful journalist as well as I can see has a good sense of humor with the common issues that normal everyday people including hollywood stars face. Her family is a priority in wich nothing less could be more than herself and that is why I continue to see the will in myself at holding up to all of the struggles that come from life.
Its like a new chapter can start where the last one ended. Its a reality that is not fake but truthful and honest.
Along with the true uniqueness about dooce.com, common sense, a bit of humor, creativity and a business plan to bring home a little for the table, while staying at home raising a child goes a long way in todays real world.
Wether or not you can face yourself in the mirror as the one to hold your own self responspible to what you do with your behaviors is totally inspired to do the right thing if you have read even a fraction of dooce.com. Her site nearly over 5 years has more gut wrenching tales with ideas for new beliefs, a tear shed for a friend, hope restored and giving back 10 times more with the sharing of love, romance, and happiness.
A realization that even I came up with my own conclusions that if she doesnt write a book soon I will write one before she does.. but hers would be better..
She is also a wonderful photographer and I believe she would make a great photo journalist....Anyways so many things are expected of woman these days to be a good mother, wife, daughter, niece, friend, sister, grandma, ect... that your bound to take a path with some depression...
You will understand one day if you don't by now..
I wished I could hug and thank her for the committment she has put into her site..
So since I can't at this time then I will do so by sharing her incredible site that is more a journey through life with a trillion chapters.. With each new step a new beginning, another end, turned page, new bookmark and a new way to think..
"Never stop learning" is the best message I have learned and should be described about dooce.com....
Peace...
Thanks Heather,
your an inspiring writer..
