Going to town stopped by a guard rail
Flashing lights and thumping clattering sound approach with out fail. A few seconds short but not quite fast enough could of bailed.. Not a chance could we make it past even if the wind hit our sail. This one is nice and long with many cars behind for a long trail. Choo Choo Chugging through town while I sit for awhile behind a guard rail. |

This made Zachs day!

The conductor (a sweet man and comical too) let him sit up there for this picture... Then he showed Zach all the bells, whistles, swithces, gauges, and basically everything that runs it... Zach was defanetly paying attention as his only question asked 10 times was "Whats that?"
I hope that if he has this passion for his intire life that he will one day be a engineer too.... I would aboard the train at his call "All Aboard" and I would be mighty proud that he never gave up...Following through to making your dreams come true no matter what age you are in life is the positive message I hope to be able to teach him..I know I am more concerned with my children and to make sure they are happy but I will not even dare forget the dreams that I have... Happy Birthday Son you are my first born |

Here it is...I wasnt planning it to be Thomas as this has been a theme for his previous birthddays 2 years in a row...Its just that the blue was just right...I couldnt get it any darker so I printed out a template and added it the cake and Waah laa we have a train cake with cupcake cars behind it...I think it turned out pretty cool and yummy too.
Zach really liked it I think he was impressed.. He is now 5 years old and he is acting like hes 10... A wonderfull party we celebrated in train style... |

Today I forgot to change my settings from tungston light to sunlight and I took a couple of pictures while visiting the train at the park... Oooops... I think it turned out neat but kind of weird.. So what do you think?
We also went to the artistphere festival today..I enjoyed all the art there very much as well as had fun with my family... Now I have to edit all the photos I took today. It seems like I took as many pictures as I took last week when I went to the wedding.. :) I am so amazed though at how much I have learned so far. More pictures turn out better then when I started out with this camera for that matter even better then with my first camera... Maybe soon I wont have to delete pictures because they turned out bad and I will have more |

I love it!! 20 years ago when I was a young girl I moved to this area with my parents. Greenville, Fountain inn, Simpsonville, Mauldin, and Laurens.... I have grown to love this area as its has grown with me... These small towns didnt have but a store, drugstore, mom and pops country stores... until now............We have everything... I played softball for 5 years in a row, 2 for fountain inn and 3 for Simpsonville.. The parks back then where ok your average smaller but good equipment.. and the ball fields were kept up... Now we have all these parks that have been upgraded and restored to look like a kingdom even an adult could play in these structures.. Today was the grand opening of Heritage Park, a little leage ball field and park on 90 acres of land.. with this train and tracks that run through what will show

Remembering the days when

I remember some of the things I did when I was a kid.
Popsicle sticks was my all time favorite to play with. There are so many ways you can manipulate them like seen here in this picture of my son building what he calls "train tracks". I built the little well house there so he would be inspired. :) He has many things he wants to create now so thats sord of are project for the week. And speaking of trains. We went for a drive today out looking for bridges and we spotted a couple of train cars. I let Zach help take the picture and he is so proud. I am going to make sure he gets to design a frame with his popsicle sticks for his own picture. That is about all he has talked about since we got home today... Even after we started this |
